CLAT 2020

The common law admission test which is conducted on rotational basis by 19 National Law University. The test is for UG and PG programs of law. Through this examination the aspirants can get admission in various universities all over India. There is no upper limit to apply of UG level. CLAT 2020 will be held in May 2020.The registration will start from first week of January and end on March 2020.Exam will be conducted on 3rd week of May. For Undergraduate course the duration of the exam is 2 hours consisting of 200 questions for 1 mark each. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks per questions. From now the examination will be conducted offline. The subject areas include English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.

English Section: English section includes comprehension aspirants and assessed on their understanding about the meaning of words and central idea of the passage. In grammar there is Sentence correction, filling the blanks in the sentence, etc. Students need to practice reading faster and work on fundamentals of grammar

Quantitative Section: This section basically tests candidate elementary mathematics. It includes topics like Simple and compound interest, Time and Work, Average, Ratio and proportion, Number system. Aspirants need to memorize formulas to solve different type of question. This section contains lowest weightage however, every mark count.

Logical section: Logical reasoning contains 40 marks and includes topics like statement assumption, blood relation, Number test, Ranking, Coding and Decoding. The purpose of this section is to test the logical capabilities and understanding of the aspirant.

Legal Aptitude: This section has 50 questions the major questions are based on situation based reasoning and Legal Knowledge. For this section the aspirants need to read current law and affairs books. This section will analyze aspirants’ interest towards law, research and his or her ability to solve problem.

General Knowledge: It is the most challenging and time saving section for the students. It contains question based on static GK and current affairs. There are 50 questions in this section. Questions basically tests student’s knowledge about the national and international affairs

The syllabus is quite similar to CLAT 2019. Go through everything and do your best.
